Three Junior members displayed their completed notebooks on trees, nature drawings, nature poems, etc. at the July 2106 4-H fair. Each won a blue ribbon for their vegetable harvests. Well done Juniors! *Township youth ages 9-16 study many areas of the natural world, including birds, trees, flowers, insects, animals, habitats, natural resources and gardening. It is the aim of the leaders to teach awareness of our natural world and all it contains. Junior members learn how to see the beauty in nature and how to protect it for people and animals alike.
Beautification Award *Annual award to a local business demonstrating an outstanding horticultural appearance for public view. Past winners have included HomeFront, Willis Greenhouse, and Vidalia Cucina.
Community Service *Decorative craft project for Meals on Wheels recipients. *Participate in Earth Day and Community Day festivities to inform the public about the club. *Continue our ongoing support of environmental issues and beautification, such as the Lawrence Nature Center at Drexel Woods.
